L&M New Year!
Last night, as I sat watching my Detroit Lions go down in a blaze of glory against the far superior New Orleans Saints, I got to thinking about how much can change in just a few years. For those of you that either dont remember or, more likely, dont care (I know this is Eagles country), just a few years ago in 2008 the Lions set the NFL record for the worst season in history at 0-16. They were the proverbial underdogs, with nowhere to go but up. Three years later, with firing their CEO, consecutive seasons of not drafting a flop wide receiver, and developing an offense and defense that can actually hold their own, I was actually watching the now not so pathetic Detroit Lions in their first playoffs showing since 1999 (now, bear with me. This will tie back into our practice, I promise you.)
Around the time the Lions were setting records for underachieving in 2008, L&M (we were still called Lee & Meyrowitz Orthodontics back then) had just recently moved our office from Jenkintown to Glenside, and opened our Doylestown location. We were the new guys in town, and were trying to get our practice up and running. Like those 2008 Lions, we really had nowhere to go but up. However, Dr. Lee and I never doubted our decisions. I wont tell you that it wasnt tough, but with hard work and a talented and energetic supporting cast, L&M has really grown and flourished over these last three years into the successful practice we are today. Three consecutive Best of Bucks awards dont lie ;).
Now, here in the New Year, a common theme is to be thankful for all that you have, and to resolve to improve in the future. As for a New Years Resolution, we here at L&M promise to continue to provide the very best treatment and experience possible to our patients, and to embody our core values of excellence, integrity, and personal care. More importantly, we have a LOT to be thankful for, and I would like to offer the most heartfelt thank you to all of our current and past clientele. You are the ones that make it possible for Dr. Lee and myself to do what we love for a living. Thank you for choosing us as your orthodontists, and being the awesome patients you are! A happy and healthy New Years to everyone, and I cant wait to see what 2012 has to bring.
